Icon Study Group
Second Wednesday of Each month (September thu May)
5:30pm - 7:00pm - Parish Hall

Icons have been called "windows in the Heaven". Prayer with icons is one of the ancient spiritual disciplines of Christianity.  Always, and above all else, the Holy Icons point not to themselves but to Christ.  The theology of the icon is based upon the Incarnation.Icons have stood as witnesses to the Christian faith and the truth of the Incarnation since the Early church.  In the same way that the beads of a rosary are strung together as an aid to prayer, so are the icons united in Christ and knit one to another in an endless procession of the faithful to God.

Come join us as we explore the prayer and symbolic language of the icon.  Although this is an ongoing group, you are welcome to join at any time.  For more information call Pam Park at 886-4054.
